Who can help me with referencing? The library has produced a number to tools and resources for you to learn how to reference and can assist with referencing questions. See the Referencing Guide for information on different referencing styles like APA, CDU Harvard and the AGLC. How do I access my Reading List? You can access your online reading list directly through Learnline. Log into the Student Portal using your student email and account password Click the Learnline tile Select your unit from the units page Access the Reading List from the unit content You can also access all your Reading Lists via the Reading List tile in your Student Portal. Can’t see your readings? Check the following: Go to your relevant unit Reading List on Learnline. Select the required reading (this will open in a pop-up page). Check that you’re logged in at the top right corner of the reading. Click the ‘I Accept’ bar on the bottom of the screen. View the reading or save a copy to your device. Where can I find articles, ebooks, and reports? Start with Library search and filter by resource type. You can also search nearly 200 individual databases, sorted by your area of study. How do I find and save articles in Library search? You can save items and categorise them for your research. Using Library search, enter key search terms related to your research topic. Make sure you are logged-in to your Library Account by checking the top-right corner of the page. Browse the results page to find relevant articles. You can also use the ‘Tweak my results’ function to narrow by subject or journal title. Find an article that you want to save, click on the pin icon and it will highlight the box yellow to indicate the item has saved. The pin icon will have a diagonal line through it to show that you have saved the article. To check your saved items, click the pin icon on the top-right corner of Library Search (next to your credentials). Tip: Add labels (or tags) to organise your articles according to relevant terms for easy reference. Is my textbook available as an eBook? We aim to have all prescribed text accessible as eBooks, but unfortunately they are not always available to us. To check if your textbook is available as an eBook: On Library search, type the title of the book in double quotation marks (e.g. “14-18 a new vision for secondary education”). Use the ‘Tweak my results’ function to filter to ‘Full Text Online’ and ‘Books’ Make sure you’re logged in to your library account for full access to online materials. Who can help with writing or understanding my assignment? The Language and Learning Support team offers a range of resources to assist all students while studying. These include workshops and personalised support around English language proficiency, unpacking your assessment, and writing and reading skills enhancement.
